Our next-generation Shock-Absorbing Blade has been redesigned from the ground up to be lighter, slimmer, and more user-friendly than our original blade. Its ultra-thin frames combine high-performance composites and aluminum, materials widely used in aerospace engineering, creating the slimmest blade ever while maintaining strength, responsiveness and shock absorption.
The blade frames are uniquely engineered to flex up to 5 mm (0.2 in) upon impact, reducing landing forces and vibrations for a smoother, more controlled skate. The resilient composite structure can also store and return energy as it flexes, creating a more dynamic and responsive skating experience.
Our technology has been shown to reduce landing impact by 15% on average, saving a skater’s body from more than 450,000 kg of cumulative impact load each year.
This flex technology is backed by extensive research conducted in collaboration with several Swedish universities, demonstrating significant reductions in impact loads without compromising skating performance.
