Shipping & Return Policy

Shipping Information

Blade Science ships worldwide, with specific conditions for non-EU countries. Deliveries are dispatched Monday to Friday, excluding Czech public holidays. Once payment is received, we process and ship your order as quickly as possible (except for preorders). After your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number.

Please note that our carriers cannot deliver to PO or APO boxes. Entering such addresses may result in delivery delays or order suspensions.

Orders placed via blade.science or through our customer service are processed only when all items in the order are in stock. Unclaimed packages that remain undelivered for 14 days will be returned to Blade Science, incurring a 1,000 CZK (approximately 50 USD) fee to cover administrative, shipping, and handling costs. These shipments are not eligible for return under the legal right of withdrawal. If you request reshipment, additional shipping costs will apply.

The applicability of VAT (Value-Added Tax) depends on the destination country. Local charges such as customs duties or sales taxes may apply upon delivery/import, depending on your region. These fees are the customer’s responsibility, and Blade Science does not cover them. Please contact your local customs office for more information.

Orders shipped within the EU incur no additional duties or import taxes.

Shipping Duration

We primarily ship via FedEx, though we may use other national or private carriers from our warehouse in the Czech Republic. Estimated delivery times vary by destination:

  • Standard delivery time: 4 to 8 business days

Shipping fees are displayed at checkout. Standard shipping rates:

  • EU: €27 / $29
  • USA: €27 / $29
  • Canada: €27 / $29
  • Rest of the world: $50

Shipping Damage

Blade Science is not liable for items damaged or lost during shipping. If your order arrives damaged, you must file a claim directly with the shipping carrier.

We take great care to ensure products are shipped in perfect condition. However, if you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact our customer service team immediately for assistance. Claims must be submitted as soon as you discover the defect. Retain all packaging materials and damaged goods when filing a claim.

Return Policy & Refunds

You have 14 days from the date of delivery to return an item (only for products purchased from the blade.science webshop). A full refund will be issued, excluding shipping charges and any payment processing fees (such as bank transfer or online payment fees—contact us for details). Refunds are processed within 30 business days of receiving the returned item, and you will be notified via email once the refund is issued.

Refunds are credited to the original payment method used at checkout.

Return Conditions

  • Items must be in perfect condition: new, unused, unmounted, complete with original packaging and intact labels.
  • Original packaging must be included.
  • We do not accept returns for used, soiled, mounted or damaged items.
  • Returns must be processed through Blade Science customer service via our support page or email at info@blade.science

Return Process

To initiate a return, follow these steps:

  1. Submit a request
    Submit a return request via our contact page or by emailing us at info@blade.science.

  2. Receive approval & instructions
    Blade Science will verify your request and provide you with return authorization and shipping instructions.

  3. Return shipping requirements

    • The package must be clearly declared as “Returning Goods” with the shipping provider.

    • All required information must be correctly provided at the time of shipment.

    • If any customs duties, taxes, or processing fees are charged to Blade Science in order to receive the package, these amounts will be deducted from your refund.

    • If such fees are unusually high, exceed the value of the goods, or cannot be deducted from the refund, the return will not be accepted, and the package will be returned to the sender.

  4. Provide tracking number
    Once the return package is shipped, you must send us the tracking number for verification. This is essential to identify your package and ensure it is processed correctly. Packages without a tracking number may be refused and returned to the sender.
  5. Refunds

    • Once your return arrives at our warehouse, we will inspect the goods (processing time is approximately 7 business days).

    • Refunds are issued for the product value only, excluding original shipping costs and payment processing fees.

    • Refunds are made to the original payment method used for the purchase.

  6. Condition of returned goods

    • Returned goods must be in new, unused condition and in their original packaging.

    • If goods are returned in a condition that prevents a refund, the customer has the right to request their return after paying standard shipping costs:

      • EU: €27 / $29

      • USA: €27 / $29

      • Canada: €27 / $29

      • Rest of the world: $50

  7. Customer responsibility

    • Customers are responsible for securely packaging goods to prevent damage during transit.

    • The customer bears the risk of loss, theft, or damage of returned goods until they are received by Blade Science.

    • Blade Science cannot issue refunds for goods lost or damaged in return shipping due to insufficient packaging or mishandling by the carrier.

Return Shipping Costs

  • Return shipment costs are the customer’s responsibility. We do not offer free returns (including for incorrect blade-runner sizes or shock-absorber stiffness selected by the customer).
  • Returns must be sent via a trackable courier service such as UPS or FedEx.
  • In certain cases, size exchanges may be possible, depending on stock availability.

Warranty Policy

Blade Science provides a 12-month warranty from the purchase date for figure blade components (frame, blade-runner, pins), covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and care.

  • Shock-absorbers are covered by a 6-month warranty against material or workmanship defects under normal use.
  • Defective products will be repaired or replaced at our discretion within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Repaired or replacement products carry a warranty valid for one year from the original purchase date.

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

Exclusions from Warranty

This warranty does not cover:

  • Improper fit, mounting errors, accidents, abuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear.
  • Repairs, replacements, or consequential damages arising from the above causes.
  • Inbound shipping costs, insurance, transportation fees, import duties, or taxes.

Blade Science is not responsible for lost profits, business losses, or other consequential damages resulting from product defects.

Warranty Claims

If you believe a product is defective:

  1. Contact Blade Science customer service at info@blade.science to obtain return and shipping instructions.
  2. Include the original invoice indicating the purchase date and a description of the defect.
  3. Follow the Return Process steps outlined above to ensure your claim is processed correctly.

Force Majeure

Blade Science is not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control. These include but are not limited to fire, flood, earthquakes, pandemics, explosions, labor strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances ("Force Majeure").
