Terms and Conditions

The use of the Blade Science website and Webshop (also referred to as "online store") is governed by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the Webshop.

By accessing, browsing, or placing an order on the Webshop, you agree to these Terms and Conditions as well as our Privacy Policy, GDPR Policy, Return Policy, and Shipping Policy.

Blade Science reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. You are responsible for staying informed about updates. The date of the latest update can be found at the end of this document.

The Webshop is operated by Blade Science s.r.o. Throughout this site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Blade Science.

Blade Science products can be purchased via:

• Our official website: blade.science.
• Customer service (email or social media)

To place an order, customers must provide:
✔ Full name
✔ Shipping and invoice address
✔ Product details
✔ Preferred payment method

A binding purchase agreement is established once an order is placed, and a confirmation email is sent to the customer (typically within 24 hours, Monday to Friday).

• Customers under 18 may only purchase with parental or legal guardian consent.
• Orders are shipped only after full payment is received.
• Any customs duties, VAT, or import taxes are the customer’s responsibility.

Prices on the Webshop are displayed in USD and EUR. Customers can select their preferred currency at checkout.

Accepted Payment Methods

✔ Bank Transfer (Wire Transfer)

After placing an order, customers receive an invoice with a secure online payment link or bank transfer details. Orders are processed only after payment confirmation.

• There is no extra charge for credit/debit card payments.
• Credit/debit card payments require authorization and fraud checks.
• Late or unpaid invoices may incur a 2.5% monthly late payment fee.

Blade Science ships worldwide, with specific conditions for non-EU countries.

• Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday, except on Czech public holidays.
• Once shipped, a tracking number is provided.
• PO Boxes and APO addresses are not supported.

Shipping Duration

✔ Standard delivery: 4–8 business days (varies by destination).
✔ Carriers: FedEx or alternative shipping providers.
✔ Delays: If a delay occurs, we will notify you via email or phone.

Shipping Fees

✔ EU: 30 EUR | USD
✔ USA & Canada: 25 EUR | USD
✔ Rest of the world: 50 EUR | USD

Unclaimed Packages

• Unclaimed packages are returned after 14 days and incur a 1,000 CZK (≈ 50 USD) handling fee.
• Reshipping fees apply if you request a second delivery attempt.

✔ Customers have 14 days to return items purchased from blade.science.
✔ A full refund is issued (excluding shipping & payment processing fees) within 30 business days of receiving the return.
✔ Refunds are processed to the original payment method.

Return Conditions

• Products must be new, unused, unmounted, in original packaging, and with all labels intact.
• We do not accept returns for used, mounted, damaged, or soiled items.
• Customers must cover return shipping costs.
• Returns must be arranged via Blade Science customer service (info@blade.science).

Blade Science provides a 12-month warranty for frame, blade-runner, and pins, covering material or workmanship defects under normal use.

• Shock-absorbers are covered by a 6-month warranty.
• Defective products are repaired or replaced within a reasonable timeframe.

This warranty does not cover:
🚫 Improper fit, incorrect mounting, accidents, abuse, or normal wear & tear.
🚫 Lost profits, business losses, or consequential damages.
🚫 Return shipping, insurance, import duties, or taxes.

Our figure skating blades are designed for performance and injury reduction; however, Blade Science is not liable for injuries resulting from improper use, mounting, or maintenance. Always consult a professional technician for blade installation.

By using our products, you acknowledge that figure skating is a high-impact sport and carries inherent risks. Blade Science is not responsible for any damages or injuries arising from product use.

Blade Science creates custom blade profiles that resemble popular models. While they share key characteristics, they are not exact duplicates.

✔ These Terms & Conditions are governed by Czech law.
✔ Any disputes will be resolved in Czech courts.
✔ Customers can file complaints via Blade Science customer service.
✔ If unresolved, customers may seek alternative dispute resolution via the Czech Trade Inspection Authority or the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.

Blade Science is exempt from obligations under these Terms and Conditions if performance is hindered due to:

• Fire, flood, earthquakes, pandemics
• Strikes, war, government actions
• Any unforeseeable external event ("Force Majeure")
